The horse is absolutely well done. I know its 'painfull' to draw horses.

Id maybe also consider: If the knights were so heavy armored, the horses were usually too.....add armor to the horse maybe.

I would disagree; being an equine person myself. I could critique your horse to a great extent, however it works as it is, I believe, well enough for this picture.
